Austin, Texas - Brendan Iribe set the fastest lap in the first practice session of the Circuit of the Americas weekend for GT America competitors under damp, cloudy conditions.
Iribe, in the #70 inception racing McLaren 720S-GT3, set the 2:14.454-second time prior to a red flag incident in the middle of the wet session, capturing both overall and SRO3 Overall fastest lap of the session.
In the SRO3 Masters division, Rod Luck was able to set a 2:15.156 pace to lead the division in the #45 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3-R (911.2), while GT4 division competitor Ross Chouest managed a 2:21.799 circuit in the #89 RENNtech Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT4 for the seventh-overall practice spot and first in-class position.
GT America competitors next take to the track at 1:35 pm CDT for the second practice session of the day.
