Sonoma, Calif. - George Kurtz, driving the #04 DXDT Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3, took the fastest lap in the opening session of the SRO Motorsports America season in Sonoma, California. The 1:40.480-second lap time was both the overall and SRO3 class time to set the pace. Stephen Cameron Racing's Sean Quinlan took his BMW M4 GT4 to a 1:47.375 lap to top the GT4 class.
Wright Motorsports' Charlie Luck managed a 1:40.532 lap time in his Porsche 911 GT3-R 991.2 for the second spot in the SRO3 class while Rearden Racing's Jeff Burton, piloting one of the team's new Lamborghini Huracan GT3s, took third with his 1:42.141 lap time.
GT4 class second and third place were captured by Alex Welch (#76 ROTR Motorsport Audi R8 LMS GT4) at 1:47.415 and Elias Sabo (#8 GMG Racing Audi R8 LMS GT4) at 1:47.704, respectively.
