Qualifying Changed to Practice: Event Schedule Malleable to Rain Delay

Practice Three Results

The GT America powered by AWS qualifying session scheduled for today, Saturday, Aug. 5, at 11:55 a.m. was rescheduled to 12:30 p.m. and changed to a practice session for competitors.

In accordance with 2023 SRO Motorsports America Sporting Regulation Article 42.21, “If for any reason the Qualifying session cannot take place or is stopped before all cars in that session have the opportunity to set a time as determined by the Race Director at his/her sole discretion, the best time from each Driver during Practice Two will be used to set the grid for Race One. If times from Practice Two are not available, the decision as to how the grids will be formed will be made by the Stewards.”

Due to rain, the above article was enacted. Drivers to partake in the wet session included Mirco Schultis in the No. 70 MISHUMOTORS Corvette C7 GT3 R and Alex Vogel in the No. 043 OnlyFans Racing with P1 Groupe by MRS Porsche 911 GT3 R from the SRO3 Class. In the GT4 Class Jason Bell in the No. 2 Flying Lizard Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 and Ross Chouest in the No. 50 Chouest Povoledo Racing Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 participated.

Race One is currently set to take the green flag at 7:05 p.m. The GT America powered by AWS schedule may continue to change with the weather conditions. For updates from Nashville check the www.musicictygp.com site.
