Practice Two Completes Day One on Track in Nashville

Practice Two Results

GT America powered by AWS Day One finished with the checkered flag falling on Practice Two. The rainy morning turned to a sunny, dry evening for the drivers to complete the 30-minute session.

The session was clean and green, allowing for teams to maximize time on track to set up cars for qualifying tomorrow morning. A few competitors grazed walls and found the runoff, but all cars were able to continue on and finish the session.

In the SRO3 Class, Jason Daskalos went two for two as the leader. His No. 27 CRP Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 topped the charts with a 1:29.592 lap time. He was followed by Mirco Schultis in the No. 70 MISHUMOTORS Corvette C7 GT3-R who ran a 1:31.244 on his last lap. The late flyer by Schultis pushed Johnny O’Connell in the No. 3 SKI Autosport Audi R8 LMS to third fastest in the class. He ran a 1:31.985.

Robb Holland followed in Daskalos footsteps, leading both sessions in the GT4 Class. Holland took the No. 099 Rotek Racing Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport to its limits, pushing a 1:34.892 lap time. Jason Bell and his No. 2 Flying Lizard Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 followed Holland with a 1:36.014. Ross Chouest gave the last dose of déjà vu rounding out the top three of the class with a lap time of 1:37.666 in the No. 50 Chouest Povoledo Racing Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4.
