Practice Two at VIRginia International Raceway for the GT America powered by AWS featured two red flags. While both periods were short and didn’t include major damage to any car, it did shorten green flag practice time for competitors. However, the session still gave competitors plenty of time to test out setup options for tomorrow’s qualifying and race.
SRO3 Class
Memo Gidley in the No. 101 TKO Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3 made it two for two leading both practice sessions. His best lap time was 1:46.444 shaving tenths off his Practice One time. Anthony Bartone picked up the pace in his No. 427 RealTime Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 turning a best lap time of 1:46.908, making him second fastest on track. Adam Adelson followed Bartone by fractions of a second. His No. 120 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R held down a 1:46.931 lap.
GT4 and GT2 Class
Ross Chouest shook up the GT4 Class as a leader in his No. 50 Chouest Povoledo Racing Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4. He set the fastest lap time in the class, running a 1:55.957. Elias Sabo in the No. 8 Flying Lizard Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 fell in line behind Chouest with a 1:56.077 best lap time. Teammate Jason Bell in the No. 2 Flying Lizard Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 rounded out the top three with a time of 1:56.359.
In GT2 CJ Moses had his time on track cut short again. Five minutes after the drop of the green flag the No. 58 GMG Racing Audi R8 LMS GT2 came to a stop on track ending his session.
