NOLA made the perfect host for a class of preschool children who set a very impressive goal for themselves this year; learn what it takes to be a race car driver. The three and four-year-old students were given the ability to pick as a class a job to study over their school year. The class of 14 boys and girls chose race car driver.
On-site, the class was read to by TRG driver Derek DeBoer and his wife Brooke, who wrote the children’s book Fastlife: Let's Go Racing. The book, illustrated by their daughter Paige, encourages kids to follow their dreams. After the reading, the kids met Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS team principal and manager Will Bamber of MDK Motorsports, who gave the kids a tour of the transporter and No. 53 Porsche 911 GT3-R. Their day ended with a coloring page and watching GT America powered by AWS practice.
Many select individuals enjoyed the exclusive Paddock Club throughout the race weekend. The Paddock Club allowed the nearly 200 credentialled guests a birds-eye view of the track from a second-story balcony. Inside the venue, they dined on exquisite cuisine inspired by New Orleans. SRO America was thrilled to host the many racing enthusiasts, including Lieutenant Governor William H Nungesser.
SRO Motorsports America continues its community-forward focus at Circuit of The Americas.
