GT America powered by AWS Practice Two at St. Petersburg

Practice Two prefaced qualifying for Race One and Race Two at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. The 15-minute session gave drivers and teams one last chance to adjust their setup before finding out just where they stand in the field. 

SRO3 Class

The top five of the SRO3 Class added new faces from Practice One. Scott Smithson with DXDT Racing went to the top of the time sheets after laying down a 1:14.056 in his No. 08 Mercedes AMG GT3. George Kurtz and the No. 04 Mercedes-AMG GT3 followed Smithson with a 1:14.147 followed by Memo Gidley in his TKO Motorsports No. 101 Mercedes-AMG GT3. James Sofronas and Anthony Bartone rounded out the top five as fourth and fifth, respectively. 

GT4 Class

The GT4 Class had continued consistency from the Aston Martin entries. Todd Coleman was fastest in Practice Two running a 1:19.884 ahead of Jason Bell and his lap time of 1:20.025. Both were behind the wheel of their respective Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4. Ross Chouest finished practice third with a 1:20.036 in the No. 50 Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4. Gray Newell led Moisey Uretsky to round out the top five in the GT4 Class. 

Qualifying takes place at 12:50 p.m. ET. Race One will cap off the day with the green flag set to drop for the first time in 2023 at 5:55 p.m.
