Watkins Glen, New York - Qualifying for the GT America powered by AWS race weekend began under a perfect Upstate New York Summer sky. Racers turned some exceptional laps, and despite some exceeding track limits in Turn 1, put themselves in solid positioning for this afternoon’s race with some very close times in both classes. George Kurtz will lead the pack across the start behind the wheel of the #04 CrowdStrike with Riley Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3 after laying down a blistering 1:47.265 lap.
SRO3
Joining Kurtz on the front row will be Jason Harward (#88 Zelus Motorsports Lamborghini Huracan GT3), followed by his teammate Jeff Burton (#191 Zelus Motorsports Lamborghini Huracan GT3) and Justin Wetherill (#13 Triarsi Competizione Ferrari 488 GT3) right behind them. Up next, Mirco Schultis (#70 Mishumotors Corvette Callaway Corvette C7 GT3-R) joins Jason Daskalos (#27 Daskalos Motorsports Audi R8 LMS).
GT4
Leading the GT4 field will be Seth Lucas (#016 Hattori Motorsports Toyota Supra GT4) after Marko Radisic (#22 SRQ Motorsports BMW M4 GT4) failed post-race tech inspection. Right behind him will be Adam Adelson (#69 Premier Racing Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport) and Ross Chouest (#50 Chouest Provoledo Racing Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4), followed by Todd Coleman (#69 Smooge Racing Toyota GR Supra GT4) and Moisey Uretsky (#55 Accelerating Performance Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4). Elias Sabo (#8 Flying Lizard Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4) and Bryan Putt (#15 BSport Racing Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4) are up next, and in the row behind them will be Gray Newell (#25 Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4) and Robb Holland (#88 Rotek Racing Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport).
Jose Dasilva (#67 Smooge Racing Toyota GR Supra GT4) and Jason Bell (#2 GMG Racing Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4) are up next, followed by Chris Alliegro (#124 ARG/Rotek Racing Ford Mustang GT4) and Custodio Toledo (#35 Conquest Racing Mercedes-AMG GT4), Chris Cagnazzi (#39 Cameron Racing Mercedes-AMG GT4) and Paul Kiebler (#89 RENNtech Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT4). Finally, Sean Whalen (#888 Zelus Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4), Nick Shanny (#21 Carrus Callas Raceteam Toyota GR Supra GT4), and Rick Uhler (#28 SRQ Motorsports BMW M4 GT4) finish off the GT4 lineup.
Race 1 begins at 12:15 PM EST. Race 2 will take place on Sunday at 9:00 AM EST.
