Watkins Glen, NY - GT America powered by AWS competitors completed the weekend qualifying session and current points leader Charlie Luck (#45 Wright Motorsports Porsche) will lead the entire series field from the overall P1 position. P2 will see Jason Harward (#88 Zelus Motorsports) in his first front row start this season after setting a 1-minute, 47.834-second lap time in the Lamborghini Huracan GT3. The second row will have Jeff Burton's #191 Rearden Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 slotting next to Road America race-winner Andy Wilzoch in the #460 Flying Lizard Motorsports Porsche in P4.
Jason Bell kept his practice two pace and brought it to the qualifying session, landing him the GT4 class P1 position for his #2 GMG Racing Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4. Bell's P2 partner will be ROTR Motorsport driver Alex Welch, who qualified second in class with a 1:56.725 lap just 0.316-seconds slower than Bell. Ross Chouest has familiarized himself with his new #50 Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 enough to lock in P3 for the class, while fellow Aston Martin driver Gray Newell will take P4 in class, registering just a tick behind Chouest's qualifier.
Caesar Bacarella's Invitational class Lamborghini Super Trofeo will divide the SRO3 and GT4 classes, placing his car in the sixth overall position with a 1-minute, 52.333-second lap.
