Alton, Va. - Charlie Luck, driving the #45 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3R (991.2), managed a 1-minute, 47.887-second lap time to capture the top practice session 2 spot prior to its interruption due to rain. The sudden rainfall lasted only a short time but dampened the ground enough to prohibit the continued use of rain slicks on the previously dry track, necessitating most teams to run out the session clock off-track.
In the SRO3 class, George Kurtz' dry-run 1:48.273 in the #04 DXDT Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 was enough to allow him to close out the session with the second fastest time, while Rearden Racing's Jeff Burton (#191 Lamborghini Huracan GT3) managed a 1:51.398 lap time for the third overall time slot.
The Qualifying session for the GT America powered by AWS competitors starts at 10:10 am EDT on Saturday. Follow along with live timing and scoring available at gtamerica.us/live
