GT America Takes on the Yard of Bricks for Season Finale Event at Indianapolis

GT America powered by AWS heads to Indianapolis Motor Speedway from October 8-10 for the final two rounds of the 2026 season, joining the spectacular DESDER Indianapolis 8 Hour weekend.
 

The season finale will feature two 40-minute sprint races on the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course. With championship battles reaching their conclusion and several drivers looking to finish the season on a high, the Brickyard provides a fitting stage for the final chapter of the 2026 campaign. From a newly crowned SRO3 champion to drivers still chasing championship glory, the Indianapolis finale promises plenty of storylines as the season comes down to its final two races. 

Audi  

Memo Gidley arrives at Indianapolis as the newly crowned SRO3 champion after securing the title at Barber Motorsports Park. Despite encountering a mechanical issue on the formation lap of Race 1, Gidley's substantial points advantage was enough to clinch the championship. He then delivered a remarkable drive from last to first in Race 2, capping off a memorable weekend with another victory. With the championship already secured, the No. 56 SKI AUTOSPORTS Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVO II will be looking to finish the season on a high, with Gidley aiming to add another victory to his already impressive 2026 tally.

BMW  

Craig Lumsden heads to Indianapolis with the GT4 championship within reach, as the Colorado Motorsport with Flying Lizard driver looks to turn his points advantage into a title at the season finale. Barber presented its challenges, with a mechanical issue disrupting his Race 1 effort, but Lumsden bounced back with a runner-up finish in Race 2.

Chevrolet   

Chevrolet will have two notable entries at Indianapolis, with Ross Chouest returning to the Brickyard looking to recapture the winning form he demonstrated at the venue last season. The No. 50 Chouest Povoledo Racing Corvette Z06 GT3.R secured a podium finish in Race 1 at Barber, and Chouest will be aiming to return to the top step as the season comes to a close. 

The finale will also mark a special occasion for Mirco Shultis, who returns to the grid for one final GT America appearance in the No. 70 MISHUMOTORS Callaway Corvette C7 GT3-R. A familiar sight in the series, the Callaway Corvette will make its farewell appearance as GT America bids goodbye to one of its distinctive machines.

Ferrari  

Ferrari brings two entries to the season finale, with Tony Davis looking to end his championship campaign on a high following a determined effort at Barber. The HP-TECH Motorsport driver put up a strong fight in an attempt to extend the SRO3 championship battle, ultimately securing a runner-up finish in the standings while adding another podium to his season tally. Davis will also be taking on double duty at Indianapolis, competing in both GT America and the DESDER Indianapolis 8 Hour, making for a busy weekend at the Brickyard.

Ginetta  

David Lecko returns to GT America for the season finale in the RacingSupport Ginetta GTP8, looking to close out his full-season Cup class campaign on a positive note. Lecko recently announced plans to expand his racing program into Pirelli GT4 America with Ginetta next season, making Indianapolis another opportunity to build momentum ahead of that next chapter.

Maserati  

Maserati will have a new presence at the Indianapolis finale, with Risi Competizione bringing the MC20 GT2 to GT America for the first time this season. The No. 100 entry will feature Peter Dempsey, adding an exciting new manufacturer and car to the GT2 class field. With the Maserati making its GT America debut at the Brickyard, the entry adds another dimension to the diverse machinery represented across the season-finale grid.

Porsche  

Porsche enjoyed several strong performances at Barber, with Scott Blind emerging as the standout among the Porsche contingent. The Ruckus Racing driver secured a P2 and P3 finish in the races at Barber, carrying valuable momentum into the final weekend.
