Provisional Practice Results
It was a bright and sunny afternoon at Circuit of The Americas as the GT America powered by AWS field took to the fast and flowing track for their first practice session of the weekend. The rising temperatures matched the setting as the championship battles heat up. Ross Chouest put in a fast final flying lap time of 2:06.959 on board his No. 50 Chouest Povoledo Racing Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R to secure the fastest time in Practice 1. Championship leader Memo Gidley followed in second in the No. 56 SKI AUTOSPORTS Audi R8 LMS GT3 EVOII, with Tony Davis slotting into third with his No. 04 HP-TECH Motorsport Ferrari 296 GT3 EVO. The top five in the SRO3 class was further completed by Jason McCarthy in the No. 115 One11 Competition Ferrari 296 GT3, and Joel Cortes in the No. 19 RS1 Porsche 911 GT3-R (992).
David Lecko led the way in the Cup class for RacingSupport with the No. 89 Ginetta GTP8, and Jozsef Petkes set the pace in the GT4 class on board the No. 83 RCX Motorsport Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, followed by Flying Lizard Motorsports' Craig Lumsden in the No. 610 BMW M4 GT4 (G82) EVO.
