Justin Rothberg arrived on the grid in 2025 with unfinished business. After losing the GT America SRO3 title by a single point in his 2024 rookie campaign, the Turner Motorsport driver vowed to rewrite the ending of the story for his sophomore effort. Sixteen rounds later, that mission is complete. With six victories, five additional podiums, and a season-long display of dominant driving, Rothberg secured the 2025 GT America SRO3 Championship with 278 points, an impressive 41-point margin over his nearest rival.
The opening half of the season delivered a race-by-race duel for supremacy. Rothberg’s primary challenger emerged early in the form of Kyle Washington, who consistently kept the pressure raging through the initial rounds. Every weekend brought a new chapter in their back-and-forth exchange, with tight qualifying sessions and split victories pushing Rothberg to draw fully on the lessons learned in his rookie season.
Rothberg’s early wins set the foundation, but what truly defined his championship run was his consistency. Even on weekends when victory was out of reach, he delivered smart drives in order to maximize the outcome whenever possible to stay inside the podium window. The approach was more than effective as the points continued stacking up.
The turning point came mid-season. A string of seemingly unmatchable performances allowed him to slip out of reach. Washington continued to fight, but Rothberg had already shifted into another gear and once he claimed the championship lead outright, he never surrendered it. From that moment on, his approach blended the competitiveness of a true contender with the composure of a driver who had learned the cruelty of losing by one point.

Rothberg’s triumph also marks another successful chapter for Turner Motorsport, whose expertise with the BMW platform has long made the team a force within GT racing. This season, their teamwork and operational excellence were the perfect match for Rothberg’s rapid development.
Rothberg’s 2025 campaign will be remembered not just for his speed and results, but for his evolution as a driver. The sting of losing the 2024 title became the spark that fueled a determined GT America champion-in-the-making. His six victories this year were spectacular, but his mental resilience was the trait that ultimately defined his season.
"The team at Turner always gave me a great car and executed perfectly,” Rothberg expressed. “Working with this group and Robby has been excellent and puts me in a position to succeed.”
With the SRO3 crown finally secured, in addition to a second consecutive GT World Challenge America Pro-Am title alongside teammate and coach Robby Foley, Rothberg stands as one of the standout success stories of the 2025 SRO America season. As the tables turned for him, it further proves that the difference between heartbreak and triumph is often just one year of growth and unrelenting commitment.
