The 2024 GT America season delivered many unforgettable moments, with some championship battles coming down to the wire, while others triumphed with a comfortable advantage. Between nail-biting races and commanding performances, teams had to dig deep as they showcased exceptional skill, determination, and collaboration, setting a high bar for excellence on the national stage.
SRO3 Class: CRP Racing
CRP Racing came out on top in what was an incredibly close championship fight in the SRO3 class. After a total of sixteen intense rounds across the country, the gaps could not have been narrower between the frontrunners, with only three points separating the top 3 when the season came to a close.
Accumulating 263 points total, CRP Racing were able to maximize their score on six occasions, proving that there was virtually no room for error in the title fight. SKI Autosports were only a mere two points behind, with Turner Motorsport following in third by one singular point.
The race weekends at the Grand Prix of Long Beach and Barber Motorsports Park were particularly strong for CRP Racing, pulling off a clean sweep and scoring back-to-back wins in both events. They also took the top step of the podium at the season opener at Sonoma Raceway, in addition to earning a further victory at Circuit of The Americas.
GT4 Class: Rotek Racing
Rotek Racing displayed exceptional performances all season long, maximizing their haul of points at nearly every opportunity as they concluded their 2024 efforts with 369 points. They made their strengths known from the very beginning, kicking off the year with seven consecutive victories before going on to add a further six wins and two podiums to their tally.
Their ability to combine dominance with consistency is ultimately what gave them the edge over the rest of the field, accumulating a big margin of 109 points over the runner-up.
GT4 Class Champion Isaac Sherman can’t say enough good things about the team, echoing that “the Rotek Racing team is incredible. We put in hands-on work, not only during race weekends but well in advance. We’d start preparing weeks ahead by having Zoom calls to review the track, discuss how the weekend would unfold, and analyze previous race data. We’d even jump on racing simulators together to get comfortable with the track and to plan strategies for the weekend.”
“The team’s support was invaluable this year,” he continued. “Brian, our engineer, is amazing; Robb, our team owner, is fantastic; and Jaden, who races in Pirelli GT4 America, and I worked incredibly well together despite racing in different series. We’d share insights on where each of us was faster and find ways to optimize our performance as a team.”
GT2 Class: TPC Racing
Within their partial-season campaign, TPC Racing remained the ones to beat. They took home six wins and two podium finishes, which brought them to a total of 186 points for the eight rounds they competed in.
They team pulled off double victories on three occasions, scoring perfect results at Sonoma Raceway with Aaron Fahardi, while Alan Grossberg pulled off the same feat at Sebring International Raceway and Circuit of The Americas.
