Know Before You Go: Nashville Music City Grand Prix

The Music City Grand Prix provides access to great racing, up-and-coming country artists, and all the fun Nashville provides. For those joining in person, there are a few fast facts to have down to make the most of your time at the Grand Prix. 

  1. Dates: The event is open to the public for three days. Friday, Aug. 4 9:30 a.m. CT through 9:30 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 5 8:30 a.m. through 9:30 a.m. and Sunday, Aug. 6. 7:30 a.m. through 6 p.m.

  2. Digital Ticketing: All tickets are electronic. You can quickly access tickets on musiccitygp.com/myaccount
     
  1. Cashless Event: For speedy checkout, every booth is equipped for electronic payment. Accepted payment methods include credit and debit cards, gift cards, and mobile payments such as Apple Pay and Google Pay. Forget your cards at home? Fans can purchase gift cards in exchange for cash at Section 124.

  2. All-Inclusive: One ticket will put you up close to race cars and country stars. All Big Machine Music City Grand Prix tickets give you access to all concerts and other activities inside the event footprint during the race weekend.

  3. In and Out Privileges: Always scan in and out as you navigate the city of Nashville. Fans are allowed to come and go during the event as they please. Attendees must scan your ticket when leaving in order to gain access back into the event.

  4. Shuttles Provided: There are two routes available to those in need of a shuttle. The Blue Route, which drops off in Lot F, is open Friday through Sunday. Friday, Aug. 4 the shuttle begins at 7 a.m. CT, Saturday the start time advances an hour to 6 a.m. and Sunday it advances another hour to a start time of 5 a.m.

    The second shuttle is the ADA Route. ADA Shuttles are on call for any fans that require wheelchair lift assistance. The shuttle pickup begins Friday at 9 a.m. with start times advancing by one hour each day following.

    Pickup locations include: 8th Ave. N and Broadway, 8th Ave. S at Westin Hotel, 4th Ave. S and Molloy St., 6th Ave. N and Commerce St., and 3rd Ave. N and Commerce St.

  5. Road Closure: There are road closures due to pedestrian access and the street course layout. Visit the event website to familiarize yourself with the road closures musiccitygp.com.

  6. Live Event Schedule: Don’t miss your favorite artist. Visit musiccitygp.com/schedule to access a live schedule during the race weekend.

  7. Bicycle Parking and Rideshare: No car, no problem. Parking is limited around and inside the event. Bicycles and rideshares are highly encouraged. The Northeast and Northwest entrances will have parking for bicycles. 
  1. Clear Bag Policy: To help ensure the safety of everyone only clear bags and containers are allowed in the event. The clear bags can be no larger than 12” x 6” x 12’. Wallets are not included in this rule. A wallet must be 4.5” x 6.5” or smaller. Umbrellas, cameras, soft water bottles and collapsible strollers are welcome inside the footprint. No liquid from outside the footprint is allowed inside. All bags are subject to a security search.
