Teams felt the heat in Practice Two both figuratively and literally. The clouds of the early morning have long gone and as the weather shifted track temperatures rose. The revolutions of the circuit lowered by nearly a second. Team and drivers alike moved closer to finalizing vehicle setup for races that will take place Saturday and Sunday.
SRO3 Class
George Kurtz had his No. 04 CrowdStrike by Riley Mercedes-AMG GT3 dialed in by the end of Practice Two. In the final minutes, he flew past competitors to set the fastest lap time of 2:07.034. Shortly behind Kurtz was Adam Adelson in the No. 120 Porsche 911 GT3 R with a 2:07.428. Jason Daskalos in the No. 27 CRP Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 ran third with his best lap time of 2:07.663.
Memo Gidley continued to put in work on the No. 101 TKO Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3 with a lap time of 2:07.797. He was followed by Anthony Bartone in the No. 427 RealTime Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 who rounded out the top five. The Mercedes-AMG and Porsche continue to be choice cars in the class.
GT4 Class
Elias Sabo in the No. 8 Flying Lizard Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage AMR took top honors in the GT4 Class after his teammate Jason Bell topped the charts in Practice One. His 2:17.832 was rivaled by the 2:18.080 of Ross Chouest in the No. 50 Chouest Poveledo Racing Aston Martin Vantage AMR.
Bell set a best lap time of 2:18.238 to sit third in class in his No. 2 Flying Lizard Motorsports Aston Martin AMR GT4. Gray Newell in the No. 25 Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 continued to show pace with a 2:19.386 to sit fifth in class.
