Now Hear This: GT America powered by AWS Closes Day One Clean in NOLA Purple, Gold and Green

Practice Day Complete at NOLA Motorsports Park
Bartone Fastest in SRO3
Sabo Fastest in GT4

A second 30-minute practice session ended the day for GT America powered by AWS at NOLA Motorsports Park. The sun heated up and so did the track, giving drivers a little less grip. However, the six different manufacturers all handled the change smoothly on Pirelli Tires.

Green to checkered teams finished a full day of practice without incident. The full hour allotted over the course of the day is then dedicated to better each setup for tomorrow’s qualifying and race session.

Anthony Bartone is proving a drag racing legacy does not to be disavowed in road racing. Bartone in the No. 427 RealTime Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 turned a 1:36.221. Memo Gidley in the No. 101 TKO Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3 had his car dialed in to be shortly behind Bartone with a 1:37.020. George Kurtz kept up the pace sitting the No. 04 Corwdstrike by Riley Mercedes-AMG GT3 in third for the end of the day. Adam Adelson in the No. 120 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R and Jason Daskalos in the No. 08 CRP Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 rounded out the top five.

Elias Sabo in the No. 8 Flying Lizard Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 made the day perfect sitting atop his class in both practice sessions. Gray Newell in the No. 25 Heart of Racing Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 followed the 1:45.166 lap of Sabo with a 1:45.363. Jason Bell and the No. 2 Flying Lizard Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 kept it quick, finishing third in Practice Two. Robb Holland in the No. 099 TRG Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 and Todd Coleman in the No. 69 Archangel Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 closed out the top five in the field.
