Nashville, Tenn. - Audi Sport has earned the first pole position for the GT America powered by AWS series inaugural appearance at the Music City Grand Prix. James Sofronas, driving the #14 Audi R8 LMS Ultra entry, negotiated the 2.17-mile street circuit in 1-minute, 29.516-seconds to set the top in-class and overall spots and will start in the Saturday afternoon competition in P1.

The #62 Ferrari 488 GT3, piloted by Bret Curtis, will line up second on the grid, having set a 1-minute, 30.084-second Qualifying lap during the afternoon session. The second row of the capacity grid will see Jeff Burton (#191 Rearden Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3) slotted next to Charlie Luck (#45 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3-R 991.2), with Burton capturing the SRO3 Masters subclass P1 in his third-place overall qualifying slot.

The GT2 field will see GMG Racing's Elias Sabo (#8 Audi R8 LMS GT2) in P1, earned with a 1-minute, 31.592-second circuit of the course.

The GT4 field P1 position goes to ROTR Motorsports' Alex Welch, who ran a 1-minute, 35.006-second best qualifying lap in his Audi R8 LMS GT4. RENNsport Racing's Chris Cagnazzi will start in-class P2 with his 1-minute, 35.362-second qualifier.

Results are provisional until posted Final. GT America competitors take the green flag on Saturday at 7:25 pm CDT.
