The GT America powered by AWS series rolled off under grey skies at Circuit Of The Americas for qualifying. The track surface had been washed clean due to late night rain, clearing the track of the rubber laid down from Friday's practice sessions. The track surface was still drying which ultimately delayed the start time of the 15-minute session.
