Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin - The GT America Powered by AWS field continued practicing for this weekend’s main events at Wisconsin’s pristine Road America circuit. After a little morning rain, the field went to work getting warmed up on this legendary 4.048 stretch of track before qualifying Saturday morning. After six laps, a car went off in the kink which brought out the red flag and shortened the session.
In SRO3, George Kurtz set the fastest lap of the session with a 2:08.721 in his #04 CrowdStrike by Riley Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3. Justin Wetherill claimed the second fastest time of 2:10.512 in his #37 Triarsi Competizione Ferrari 488 GT3. Just under a second behind Wetherill was Jason Harward in the #88 Zelus Motorsports Lamborghini Huracan GT3. CJ Moses set a 2:19.763 in the #58 GMG Racing Audi R8 LMS GT2.
In GT4, Moisey Uretsky once again claimed the quickest run of the course with a 2:19.674 in his #55 Accelerating Performance Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4, a blink of an eye faster than his best in the morning practice session. Gray Newell wasn’t far behind in his #25 Heart of Racing Team Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 with a 2:20.091, followed by Bryan Putt in the #15 BSport Racing Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4.
