Practice 1 Kicks Off the GT America Powered by AWS Weekend in Nashville

Nashville, Tennessee - The GT America powered by AWS season officially continues into August during the Music City Grand Prix weekend in Nashville. Just two short weeks ago at Watkins Glen, George Kurtz swept the weekend in SRO3 with Mercedes-AMG while Seth Lucas claimed back-to-back wins in GT4 with Toyota.

In SRO3, Onofrio Triarsi grabbed the top time of the session with a 1:29.734 behind the wheel of his Triarsi Competizione Ferrari 488 GT3. George Kurtz set the second-fastest lap of the session with a 1:30.422 in his #04 CrowdStrike by Riley Motorsports Mercedes-AMG GT3. Scott Smithson followed with a 1:30.680 in his #08 DXDT Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3, and less than a second off of Smithson was Jason Daskalos piloting the #27 Daskalos Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3.

In GT4, Chris Cagnazzi claimed the quickest time of 1:36.028 behind the wheel of the #39 Cameron Racing Mercedes-AMG GT4, followed closely behind by Robb Holland in the #99 Rotek Racing Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport with a 1:36.283, and Marco Radisic behind the wheel of the #22 SRQ Motorsports BMW M4 GT4.

The session was cut short by three minutes as the red flag was displayed due a car needing to be retrieved on track.

Practice #2 will start at 6:15 PM (EST).
